The separation of American higher education sets up a model for other nations in the course of massification of higher education, which focuses on enhancing universality of enrollment as well as promoting elite group’s education. It is significant to compare the similarities and differences between American and China, and learn the successful experiences from American higher education separation system so as to promote the equal opportunities and simultaneously maintaining the internal excellence of our higher education system.
