本文着重分析了大众化进程中的精英教育。重新诠释了精英教育的定义，明确指出精英教育对一个国家社会经济发展的极端重要性，并探讨了大众化教育存在对精英教育的种种损害的可能性，提出了应在高等教育系统进行功能分化的基础上保存精英教育，并结合我国的实际情况，旗帜鲜明地提出我国研究型大学英准确定位，肩负起精英教育的培养职责，为国家做出卓有成效的贡献。

| 英文摘要 |
The article analyzed mainly elite education in the process of mass education, renewedly interpreted the definition of elite education, indicated the extreme importance of elite education for the development of society and economy, addressed kinds of possibilities for which elite education be damaged in the process of mass education and held that we should conserve elite education on the basis of functional polarization of the higher education system. Finally according to the current stations in our country, the author pointed out definitely that our research universities should identify their stances accurately and shoulder the responsibilities of elite education for the development of the nation.
