本文主旨是探讨全球化话语与教育的关联性。首先藉由主要文献的整理探讨“全球化“一词所指涉的现象、涵义和论辨,了解全球化是一个渉及权力、多重声音和多元实际的复杂谜题或抗争历程,厘清全球化与全球资本主义的密切关联;其次探讨全球化话语与教育的关系,借用詹妮弗.陈—提伯肯恩的架构,归纳出目前全球化话语中四种不同研究取向的主要关怀、提问焦点、包括社会重建、教育制度主义、教育多边主义以及全球社会正义等,说明其不同的价值取向,其中渉及竞争求胜或社会正义的论辨和抗争,尤其针对“全球社会正义“研究取向,说明批判教育学学者对于全球资本主义的教育批判;然后以高等教育为主,说明资本主义对于高等教育的影响,尤其以台湾地区高等教育学术评鉴为例说明;最后是结语和反思。
英文摘要 The aim of this article is to provide brief discussion on the relationships between discourses of globalization and education. There are four sections be included in this article. Firstly, it is to clarify key dimensions, references and debates of globalization and to understand contradictory situations, complicated forces and factors converged in the issue of globalization, particularly with regard to close connections between globalization and global capitalism. Secondly, a comprehensive framework developed by Jennifer Chan—Tiberghien will be employed to explain the focus of four different approaches in the discourses of globalization and education— educational restructuring, educational institutionalism, educational multilateralism and global social justice. Different approaches actually signified the debates and struggles between competition—for—winning ideology and social justice. Further critiques of global capitalism from the scholars of critical pedagogy will be provided to support the stance of global social justice. Thirdly, the paper discusses the influence of global capitalism on higher education, particularly based on the example of the criteria of academic evaluation in Taiwan’s higher education. And finally, it infers conclusions and offer some reflections.
