面对改革开放条件下形成的新的文化结构和生活方式，哲学社会科学应当强化自己的解释力。哲学社会科学应当强化自己的解释力。哲学社会科学需要社会支持，这种支持应当来自于内心的价值取向真正基于对科学本质的把握和真诚的人文追求。哲学社会科学更需要自强，其社会地位是依靠解释事物、指导实践和自我发展的能力而确立的。哲学社会科学的发展需要学术新人，还需要恰当的学科发展规范。

| 英文摘要 |
Philosophy and social sciences should enhance their explanation abilities facing the newly-built culture structure and living style in the reform and opening up times. They call for the support form the whole society stimulated by people’s moral values, the grasp of science essence and the pursuit of humanism; they call for self-improvement, as their social status in established by their explanation of the novelties, the guideline to the practice and the ability of self-development; they also call for the academic new personality and the proper academic regulation for their continuous development.
