The article, reviewing the research on the boundaries of comparative education, points out the boundless features in comparative education, including subject matter, method, space, time and subjective of research. It suggests that comparative education research should have boundaries, such as educational system, nation-states and contemporary nature of educational issues. The article discusses the issues such as abandoning ideologies, role consciousness of the dichotomy of subjective and objective, advocating academic democracy, focusing on knowledge genealogy and linkage between the disciplinary theories and practice.
