In the early 1920s, authorized by National Education Confederation, the subject syllabus of history in junior and senior middle school emphasized on the following views: to concern about social problems, to pay attention to students’ interest and to meet their demands, all of which could not be found in the Curriculum of History in the earlier period, thus these ideas became guiding principles in the later historical teaching in middle school. However, due to the cosmopolitism overemphasized in the subject syllabus of history in the middle school, such method has little to do with the realities of the country, which eventually received serious criticism from the academic field. In a word, carried out during the unpeacefultimes, this syllabus was not theoretical, as there was insufficient teaching stuff, all of those led to its failure in practice.
