本文围绕日本高等教育交叉学科建设与运营的特点，从交叉学科研究的研究实体、交叉学科教育的教育体系、学科交叉型大学的大学改革理念三个层面，分别调研了一个典型事例，发现他们最主要的特点分别是：科研实体具有高度的学术组织运作机能；交叉学科教育是以一个学院为单位的整体改革，而不是停留在几门交叉学科课程的设置上；以学术融合为理念的新型大学，其动力来源于开创新的学科体系的战略目标。

| 英文摘要 |
This article describes the interdisciplinary development and performance characteristics of higher education in Japan. It analyses a typical example from three aspects: the research bodies of interdisciplinary studies, interdisciplinary education systems, and reform notions towards interdisciplinary-type university. The main characteristics identified are the followings: the research bodies have high level of abilities for academic organization; the interdisciplinary education reform is implemented in a college as a whole, not just in a few interdisciplinary courses; the strategic goals of creating new disciplines motivates the reform towards a trans-disciplinary university.
