Dealing with various problems and conflicts during the process of industry─academy─research cooperation in China, and standing on the strategic position for national development, the paper presents several important thoughts and strategies on how to further and strongly promote the close cooperation of industry─academy─research in China, from the perspectives of system innovation of industry─academy─research cooperation, resources integration, exploration of “win─win” mechanism, construction of an open system, and building of institutional environment.
