英文摘要 In the past several years, there has been a rapid expansion in the number of medical schools. This paper provides a general overview of the world’s medical schools, including overall numbers, locations, historical growth and basic descriptive information. By contrasting this information with world population statistics and regional physician density, one can get a better understanding of how physician resources, including training opportunities, are distributed around the world.
