The meaning of "Ge Wu" is not fully explained in history. In this paper, the meaning of "Ge Wu" is proved to be the classification of things using the unique method of Qu Xiang Bi Lei in Chinese culture through the double evidence of the “right side theory” and “explain classical through classical”. This new explanation of "Ge Wu" can offer some inspiration of methodology to the research of education.
