社会主义核心价值体系回答了中国走什么道路、举什么旗帜、坚持什么制度、弘扬什么精神的问题。就大学生思想政治工作而言，就是回答了培养什么人、怎样培养人的问题。社会主义本质与中国本体立场，决定了社会主义核心价值体系，就是要培养学生坚定拥护中国共产党领导的社会主义国家制度和社会制度的政治意识、焕发学生忠诚和报效社会主义祖国的爱国之心、发展学生对中华优秀文化传统的认同意识，激励学生为中华民族伟大复兴而作贡献的奋斗之志和创新之力。

| 英文摘要 |
The System of Socialist Core Values has addressed some questions for China, essentially, which path to take, which great banner to hold high, which institution to uphold and which moral spirit to promote. As for the ideological and political education of college students, such ideas answer the questions of which kind of students are cultivated and how Chinese institutions cultivate them. The educational purpose of the Core Value System determined by the essence of Socialism and China-based standard is to develop the students’ political consciousness of socialist system established by CPC, to inspire their national loyalty and patriotism, to promote their identities of traditional culture, and to encourage their capabilities of social contribution and innovation.
