据统计，《红楼梦》前八十回共使用颜色词155种，这些颜色词在作品中出现了近1000次，其中出现频率最高的当数[红]字。因此本文选取[红]这个字作为研究对象，通过对比研究《红楼梦》三个英译本得出结论，认为[红]这个颜色词的翻译必须是建立在对中文的正确理解和对语境、文化背景和语言习惯的综合考虑之上。

| 英文摘要 |
According to the statistics, 155 kinds of colors appear in the first 80 chapters of Hong Lou Meng and are used for about 1000 times. This paper analyses the translation of the most active color word in Hong Lou Meng, by a contrastive study of three English versions and concludes that the correct translations of Hong should not be stereotyped but be based on the correct understanding of Chinese, consideration of the difference of context, cultural background and language habits.
