| 英文摘要 |
This paper introduces the historical evolution and development of school choice in Japan. It describes and analyzes in depth about the policy for school choice based on marketization and new-liberalism promoted by Japanese government. We believe that school choice has not been positively responded and carried out because it enlarged the gap in education and damaged the public. The result was radically against the principle of equity and diversity.
