中文摘要 關於如何有效地激發學習者的學習動機多年來在第二語言/外語(L2)的領域一直是關注的焦點之一。儘管備受關注,許多現存的分析研究都是以教師為主。與學生相關的研究,雖然存在,卻顯少與學習動機略策的實際課堂應用相關。採用先前相關研究所修改之五十句增進學習動機的略策相關語句的量化問卷,本研究旨在調查英語語言學習者對語言學習動機策略的看法。一百五十三位大學英語學習者接受問卷調查。根據學生的反應,最重要與最不重要的學習動機略策被進一步地選取及分析;此外,針對所選取之略策之相關教學與教育應用亦在本文中被討論。
英文摘要 The question of how to motivate language learners have been one of the focuses in the area of second/foreign language (L2) research for many years. Despite the attention received, many of the available analyses were teacher-based. Student-based studies maybe exist. Little were they related to the use of motivational strategies in the language classrooms. Using quantitative questionnaire containing fifty selected statements modified from previous investigation, this study aims at investigating English learners’ perception of language learning motivation strategies. The questionnaires were administered to one hundred and fifty-three ELL (English language learning) students of undergraduate level in Taiwan. Based on the students’ responses, the most and least important strategies were identified and discusses. Instruction and education implication were also provided.
