英文摘要 The American Diploma Project (ADP), which was launched in 2004, aims to improve the standards of high school graduates, making them meet the expectations of both employers’ and college faculty’s, so as to gain success either in college study or in their workplace. The main task of ADP is to create an advanced benchmarks in English and mathematics that ensure the graduates necessary knowledge and skills needed in both areas. This article mainly analysis the ADP English benchmarks, including the background information and the main content of the benchmarks, together with its characteristics, hoping we should get some implication from the benchmarks.
